HANOVERTON – Jerry Henry Morrow, age 88, of Hanoverton passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1925 to Horace and Vona (Grate) Morrow in Wellston, Ohio.
Jerry was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He is a member of the Hanoverton Christian Church. Jerry graduated from Lisbon High School. He enjoyed RC model airplanes.
Jerry served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater, the Marshall Islands.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ruth (Thompson) Morrow, whom he married May 27, 1955. Other survivors are two sons, David (Teran) Morrow of Waxhaw, North Carolina and Jeff (Deborah) Morrow of Salem and a daughter, Susan Kibler of Hanoverton; four grandchildren, Adam (Kathy) Kibler, James Kibler, Matthew Morrow and Alyssa Morrow and two great-grandchildren; Emily and Natalie Kibler.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Maple Cotton Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Tom Allmon officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton. Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 21 2014 from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Maple Cotton Funeral Home.
