East Palestine, Ohio – Charles E. Moore, 75, of Latta Road, passed away at 6:18 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Charles was born September 1, 1938 in Darlington, PA, a son of the late Otis Glenn and Eva Pauline Wilcox Moore and had been a life-long resident of East Palestine. He had been employed at Darlington Brick for over forty years where he employed as a foreman. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest “Babe” Moore and Thomas Moore, Sr. and a half-brother, Glenn A. Moore.
His wife, the former Geraldine Crawford, survives him as do four sons, Charles C. (Kim) Moore, Wetumpka, AL, Randolph W. (Bonnie) Moore, East Palestine, Glenn R. (Laura) Moore, Grove City, PA, and Jon B. (Melanie) Moore, Vero Beach, FL.; a step-mother, Shirley Moore, Beaver Falls, PA; three sisters, Mary Lou Shafer, Negley, Alice Robinson, Toronto, Eva Shattuck, Clearwater, FL; eleven grandchildren, Wesley, Cody, Alan, Denver, and Alyssa Moore, Lindsey (Brandon) Laney, Randee Gregg, Carlee Gregg, Iian Patti, Kindred Patti and Taigan Patti; and a great grandson, Rucson Allen Patti.
Friends will be received from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24th, at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Ferris, officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
