Molly Bridget (Hamilton) Bledsoe, 66, of Salem, died at 8:38 AM Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in the Emergency Room of Salem Regional Medical Center.
She was born on May 7, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thomas Anthony and Genevieve Michael (Gorman) Hamilton.
She had been employed as a book editor of the TV Guide Magazine in Radner, Pa., then as a finisher of industrial ceramic products at Metsch Refractory in Chester, W.Va. She also served one term as the Union President. A member of the Salem St. Paul’s Catholic Church, a 1965 graduate of the Salem High School.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen L. Bledsoe whom she married on July 12, 1969, her son, Master Sgt. Stephen (wife Mich) Bledsoe, grand daughters Morgan and Taylor all of Huntsville, Ala., siblings, Anne (Husband Richard) Huffman of Salem, Thomas (wife Pam) Hamilton of Bend, Ore., and John Hamilton of Salem, nieces and nephews, Molly Hughes (who was named after Molly), Annie, Patrick and Thomas Hughes all of Hampton, Va.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, 11:30 AM at Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 Noon in Salem St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Father Steven Wassie serving as the Celebrant.
The family will receive friends and family starting at 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest by her parents in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Hamilton, County, Cincinnati, Ohio.
