Rogers – John “Jack” Paul Burson, 70, of Rogers, died at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
Jack was born January 27, 1944 in Rogers, the son of the late Paul J. and Bertha M. Burkhart Burson.
He had been employed as an oil well pumper for over 20 years at Everflow Eastern, Canfield. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and story teller as well as a life member of Negley Fish and Game.
His wife, the former, Carol Ann Krichbaum whom he married March 13, 1987 died February 20, 2004.
He is survived by a daughter, Pamela (Harry) Pease of Rogers; a son, Paul (Brenda) Burson of Berlin Center; a step daughter, Daneen Mace-Vadjunec of Berlin Center; four step sons, Don Miller of Youngstown, Dale and Dan Miller both of Berlin Center and Doug “Boozer” Miller of Sheboygan, WI; three sisters, Doris Klamm of Cleveland, Barbara May of Columbiana and Janice Glover of Rogers; five grandchildren, Danielle Deal, Casey Ward, Taylor, Alex and Josh Burson; two great grandchildren, Madden and Parker Deal; many nieces and nephews and his first wife, Linda R. Burson of Berlin Center.
Mr. Burson was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Ken May and Richard Klamm and an infant nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home with Roy Seaux, Minister officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial tributes be made to the Negley Volunteer Fire Department PO Box 178 Negley Ohio 44441.
