East Palestine – Dale G. Snyder, 60, of Brushville Road, passed away at 9:45 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, Boardman Campus, after becoming ill at home.
Dale was born November 1, 1953 in Salem, a son of the late Donald J. and Lois Black Snyder, Sr., and was a life resident of the area.
He had been employed with ER Advanced Ceramics as a supervisor, prior to his retirement.
He was an avid golfer having been a member of the East Palestine Country Club. Dale had also been active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1506 and the Loyal Order of Moose #467, where he was currently serving as Governor. He had at one time served as a fire chief with the former Unity Volunteer Fire Department.
His wife, the former Gail Landsberger, whom he married November 2, 1974, survives him in the home. He also leaves a twin sister, Gail Snyder Shook, Leetonia, a second sister, Vickie Snyder Stuckey, Pittsburgh, PA, and a brother Donald Snyder, Jr., Poland, and his two puppies, Hannah and Haley.
The funeral service will be at 12 Noon Friday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, with Rev. Christopher Cicero of Our Lady of Lourdes Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
