Salineville – Ralph J. Dangelo, 89, passed away February 27, 2014 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a life long resident of Salineville, Ohio.
Ralph was born in Summitville, Ohio on June 22, 1924 to the late Patsy and Angeline Carlone Dangelo.
Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II.
Catholic by faith, he loved hunting, fishing and playing euchre with family and friends. He retired from General Motors Co. in 1986. He was a wonderful and caring dad as well as a friend to many.
He will be sadly missed by two sons, Butch Dangelo of Phoenix, Arizona and Marty (Christy) Dangelo of Salineville; three daughters, Bonnie (John) Rigsby of Phoenix, Arizona, Gerry (Raymond) Wicks of Minerva, Ohio, Chrissy (Larry) Sargent of Erie, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Pete (Ellie) Dangelo of Summitville, and Jim (Darlene) Dangelo of Salineville; eleven grandchildren, Samantha, Scott, Kristofer, Todd, Laura, Jared, Patrick, Lacey, Anthony, Tyler, and Brittany; seven great grandchildren, Emerson, Avery, Lila, Levi, Addison, Elsa, and Ashton; and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Eva Higgins Dangelo in 2000; four brothers, Mike Dangelo, Joe Dangelo, Paul Dangelo, John Dangelo and three sisters, Dorothy DeMatteo, Anne Dangelo and Helen Dangelo.
Ralph was very specific in his request for viewing at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home in Salineville from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Tuesday.
Cremation will follow.
