TWINSBURG Tammy Jayne Gerner Roder, 54, formerly of Columbiana, passed away at Hudson Elms Nursing Facility early Saturday morning, February 22.
Tammy was born on July 30, 1959 in Columbiana, a daughter of Donald and Arlene (Persing) Gerner. She was a graduate of Columbiana High School, and earned a B.S. in Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
Tammy married David C. Roder August 19, 2000, and together they would have a daughter, Abby. Tammy was employed by State Farm Insurance as an insurance claims adjuster, but her real joy was her husband and daughter. Her hobby was making jewelry, and she was able to create beautiful pieces out of ordinary objects.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband David; her daughter, Abby R. Roder, age seven; two sisters, Virginia (Larry) Schneider and Carol (Richard) McCoy, all of Columbiana; two brothers, Robert (Donita) Gerner of Columbiana and Thomas (Ginny Sue) Gerner of East Palestine; and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima, with Pastor Dan Neville officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 24 from 6-8 p.m. at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima, and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
If friends desire, any memorials in Tammy’s name may be donated directly to the family.
