P. Terry Stanley

EAST LIVERPOOL Paul Terry Stanley, of Bell School Road, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was 61.

Born in East Liverpool, October 24, 1952, he was a son of the late Paul James Stanley and Effie M. Garnes Stanley.

He worked at the former J & L Steel Company for over 30 years. He was a member of the Destiny House, and at one time was a member of the Ruritan Club. He loved the outdoors and spending time on his property on Beaver Creek, he enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.

He will be sadly missed by his wife and best friend, Janet Kleich Stanley. The couple married December 11, 1981.

He also will be fondly remembered by his three daughters, Cassandra Lowe, and her husband D.J., Amy Piatt, and her husband Brandon, and Chelsea Cargnel, and her husband Cpl. Jay Cargnel, all of East Liverpool, along with a son, LCpl. Joshua Stanley, and his wife Paige, of Jacksonville, North Carolina. There are four grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Carmen Pugliano, and Aidan and Madison Lowe, as well as his two God children, Matthew and Rachel Ludwig.

Other survivors include four brothers, Richard Stanley of East Liverpool, James Stanley of East Liverpool, Michael Stanley, and his wife Susan, of Columbus, and Daniel Stanley, and his wife Carol, of Calcutta. A sister-in-law survives, Sandy Steele of Daytona Beach, Florida.

Friends may visit Monday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. Bob Tatgenhorst will conduct a funeral service at 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
