Jessie Rowe

Jessie A. Rowe 93, of E. Park Ave. Columbiana, Oh. Passed away the Morning of Jan. 2. 2014 at The Hospice house on Sharrot Rd. Jessie was born in Bessemer Pa on June 18, 1920 the daughter of the late John and Hazel (Benson) Carr Jessie graduated from Bessemer High the class of 38 She Married Mr. Chester Rowe on November 23, 1939. Although she was a homemaker who enjoyed Knitting and crocheting , Jessie was a devoted Veterans wife. She had been a member and cook for the Bessemer American Legions Earl J. Watt Post. And also the Joe Williams post in Leetonia. She was a member and former president of the Tri-County American Legion Auxillary. She was a member of the VFW auxillary in Bessemer and lastly the Forty and Eight which is a veterans association.

Jessie is survived by her children; Mrs. Karen Churn and her husband Charles of Columbiana, Oh. Mr. Edward Rowe and his wife Margaret of Titusville, Pa. and Mrs. Wendy Carr and her husband Gary of Enon Valley, Pa. Jessie also leaves a sister. Mrs. Doris Masters of Austintown, Oh.

Jessie was blessed with four grandchildren: Karen Campbell, Susan Best, Brian Rowe and Michael Carr. Seven great grandchildren; Josh, Zack, Diona, Neil, Jessie, Ben and Eric and three step-great grandchildren; Sharon Reynolds, Debbie Randolph and Kevin Mc Clain

Jessie was preceded in death Daughter Kay Best and son-in-law Gerry Best, a Sister, Virginia Haering

The Family will meet privately to say goodbye to Jessie on Saturday January 4, 2014 and she will be laid to rest in the Castle View memorial gardens cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Terry Cunningham funeral home of Bessemer
