Lisbon – Elizabeth D. Chamberlain, 86, of Buckeye Rd., passed away at 11:15am, Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Salem.
She passed peacefully from this life to the next surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Chamberlain was born January 21, 1927 in West Point, Ohio, a daughter of the late Floyd and Alice (Wolf) Reynolds.
Elizabeth enjoyed cooking, baking, caring for her family and just being a good homemaker. She also enjoyed making afghans, playing the piano, reading, and studying her Bible as long as her eyesight would permit her to do so.
Liz liked to take traveling vacations and accompanied her husband on many hunting and fishing trips to several of the lower 48 states, Alaska, Canada, and Africa.
She was the pianist at the West Point Nazarene Church for many years and has now been a member of the East Liverpool Nazarene Church for over 30 years.
Liz is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard Chamberlain, whom she married November 7, 1953; son, Wayne (Gaile) Chamberlain of West Point; grandchildren, Cassy (Chris) Walker of West Point, Wayne (Alicia) Chamberlain, Jr. of Medina, Ohio, step-granddaughter, Katie Watson of Salem; great grandchildren, Logan, Alexis, and Michael; brother, William (Sue) Reynolds of Lisbon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Cusick and brothers, Floyd, Charles, Richard, and Robert Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with her niece, Rev. Joyce Reynolds and the Rev. James Keaton, Jr. co-officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
