Salem – Edward R. Vidumansky, 70, formerly of Salem, died at 12:25 pm Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Canal Pointe Nursing Home, Akron where he had resided the past month.
Mr. Vidumansky was born September 4, 1943 in Salem, a son of Edward J. and Mary Gladys Fox Vidumansky and had also lived in Las Vegas, NV.
Ed was a forklift operator for 34 years for General Motors in Lordstown. He served in the US Navy.
He is survived by his two daughters, Melissa (Jeff) Blackmore of Plano, TX and Arlene (Chris) Spahn of Charleston, WV; two sisters, Diane Flory of New Bern, NC and Debra Vidumansky of Leetonia; a brother Dennis Vidumansky of Leetonia; and his step mother, Jensie (Jim) Campbell of Leetonia.
In lieu of flowers, tributes in memory of Ed may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Leetonia Community Public Library.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 18, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Leetonia.
Arrangements are being made by the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
