Lisbon- Frances E. Freeman, 91, formerly of Middle Beaver Rd., passed away quietly at 11:35pm, Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Covington Campus, East Palestine, where she had resided for many years.
Miss Freeman was born May 11, 1922 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Clyde J. and Gertrude (Souders) Freeman, and had lived in the Lisbon area all of her life.
She worked for a short time as a veterinarian’s assistant for Dr. Donald Kelch, DVM. She also had worked as a housekeeper for a few area families over the years.
A member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, Frances enjoyed working crossword puzzles and she loved all animals, especially cats.
She is survived by her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and great great great nieces and nephews.
Miss Freeman was preceded in death by her two sisters, Irene G. Kelch in 1989 and Kathryn M. Bowman in 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark R. Wilds officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11am until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
