Thomas N. Taylor, 78 of Wellsville, died suddenly at his residence Friday, November 15, 2013. He was born in Salem, New Jersey on November 1, 1935, a son to the late John & Grace (Barber) Taylor.
Mr. Taylor spent 21 years of his life in this area, after moving here from Penns-ville, New Jersey. He worked as an assembly worker at General Motors. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. He was the current President of Local Gideon Camp and a member of Gideon’s Bible Society.
His wife, Sarah (Starke) Taylor whom he married June 5, 1965 survives him at home, along with two daughter; Kimberly Sines and her husband Dan of Rogers, OH and Lillian Barker and her husband Michael of Nacona, TX; three brothers, Otis Taylor of Delaware, Rev. Charles Taylor of East Liverpool, OH and John Taylor of Florida; three sisters, Alma Hannah and Eleanor Taylor both of New Jersey and Grace Gleason of East Liverpool, OH; granddaughters, Crystal Burkhammer and her husband Brandon of East Liverpool, OH and Trysha Walls of Wellsville, OH and two great grandchildren, Kayleigh & Taylor Burkhammer of East Liverpool, OH.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Bill Wagner of the church officiating. Burial will follow at Shadow Lawn Memorial Gardens where The Tri-State Burial Group will accord full military honors.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
