Salineville – Thomas A. Griffith, 70, of Malone Road, died late Tuesday evening at his home with his family present.
Tom was born April 20, 1943 in Bergholz, Ohio, a son of the late William (Del) and Eva (Boots) Schocksnider Griffith.
Tom worked for Industrial Mining in Bergholz, Ohio and retired from Allen Box Company in Bergholz as a truck driver. He was also a member at one time of the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Department. He was a family man who loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed cutting grass on his John Deere tractors.
Tom will be sadly missed by his wife of 15 years, Tabra Dickson Griffith at home; seven children, Harold Griffith, Thomas Griffith, Jack Griffith, John (Elsie) Griffith, Chase Griffith all of Bergholz, James (Crystal) Dickson, and Rebecca Dickson of Salineville; seven sisters, Helen Wilson of East Rochester, Ida Mae (Chuck) Jarmen of Brilliant, Beverly Dickson of Salineville, Jenny (Leo) Bennett of Bergholz, Annie (Greg) Madison of Salineville, Connie (Dan) Householder of Irondale, and Ruth (Ralph) Frederick of Oklahoma.; eight grandchildren, AJ, Ryan, Carley, Chandler, Avah, Kylee, Nathan, and Hunter.
Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by one daughter, Leslie Griffith; four brothers, Bill Griffith, Jim Griffith, Rick Griffith, and Chuckie Griffith.
Services will be held on Friday, at 7:00 PM at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home in Salineville, with Fred O. May officiating.
Family and Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 PM until time of service.
