Lisbon- Fredrick H. Bach, 82, of Megan Place, passed away at 1:35pm, Friday, October 18, 2013 at UPMC in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Bach was born June 7, 1931 in Millport, Ohio, a son of the late Carl A. and Julie Marie (Householder) Bach.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Fredrick Bach Jr.; granddaughter, Denise Marie Fountain; brother, James Edward Bach; and sister, Mary Spencer.
Fred was a career heavy equipment operator in the U.S. Marine Corp. and had served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He is survived and will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce (Howard) Bach, whom he married March 27, 1954; daughters, Robin “Bunny” Fountain of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Sherrie (Dennis) Vaughn of Russellville, Kentucky; sister, Peggy Lowery of Columbiana; brother, Bill Bach of Hanoverton; grandchildren, Eric Fountain, Joshua Fountain, Dennis Vaughn Jr., Daniel Vaughn, and Sarita Boyd; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Rev. Herbert E. DeLong and Rev. Greg Pennington officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Monday at the funeral home.
