HANOVERTON – Donna Louise Jarrett, 80, died early Tuesday morning at her home following an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 30, 1932 in Canton, Ohio, to Paul V. Kosht and Grace Ray Kosht.
She was a Canton McKinley graduate.
Donna was a homemaker and retired from Salem Community Hospital after 28 years. She was a member of the New Alexander Christian Church.
After the passing of her husband of 58 years, Edwin, on June 14, 2009, she went back to the hospital as a volunteer.
She had four sons, Stephan (Shirlee) Jarrett of Salineville, Scott (Linda) Jarrett of East Rochester, Sheldon (Diane) Jarrett of Minerva and Stacy Jarrett of Hanoverton; 11 grandchildren, one step-grandchild, seven great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Jarrett; two brothers, Charles Kosht and Richard Kosht; a sister, Ester Bailey; and a great-grandchild, Parker Wilson.
Calling hours for Donna will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at the Maple-Cotton Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Maple Cotton Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Laughlin officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton.
