EAST LIVERPOOL, OH – Lora M. Radcliffe Ludwig, of Salem, formerly of East Liverpool, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at home following a lengthy illness. She was 72.
Born in Bridgewater, Pennsylvania, July 26, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Bessie Derenburger Radcliffe.
She worked at Hall China Company as a mold runner until her retirement in 2006. A member of the Central United Methodist Church in Wellsville and also attended the Assembly of God at one time, she was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1959. She loved playing bingo but above all things in life she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ludwig on July 30, 2006. The couple married July 2, 1973. She was also preceded in death by a step-daughter, Becky L. Grimm and two brothers, Ray D. Radcliffe and Gary W. Radcliffe.
Survivors include a sister, Debra “Debbie” Cook, and her husband Ted, whom she resided with, and a brother, Larry Radcliffe, and his wife Christy, of East Liverpool, as well as a step-daughter Sheila Mark, and her husband Michael, of Athens, Ohio, and a step-son, Lesley Ludwig, and his wife Mary Lee, of East Liverpool.
Other survivors include 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews and a special neighbor, Juanita Cushman. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Bella and her two cats, Pretty Eyes and Boomer.
Friends may visit Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Joanne Dota, Chaplain at Hospice of the Valley, will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
