Negley, Ohio – Linda Jean “Jeanie” Moore, 57, of Chamberlain Street, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 11, 2013 at her residence.
Jeanie was born July 17, 1956 in Canton, a daughter of Hazel Marie Merrill Icenhower and the late Lewis Wesley Icenhower. She had lived in Negley since 2004, coming from Salem. She had worked most recently as a bar maid at The Ivy Stone Lounge in Lisbon.
She had been a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2216 of Lisbon.
Besides her mother, Hazel Young of Midland, PA, she is also survived by two sons, Lewis David “Keith” Icenhower of Negley and Andrew James Shafer of Salem; a daughter, Amanda Marie Shafer of Darlington, PA; and five grandchildren, Candice Icenhower, Adam Shafer, Justin Batman-Smitha, Ashley Hill and Katie Icenhower. She also leaves three brothers, David E. Icenhower of Ohio, and Rickey D. Young and Carl B. “Youngin” Young both of Midland, PA; and three sisters, Barbara Ours and Shirley Wooley both of Midland, and Carla Young of Calcutta. A sister, Sharon (Rose) Stanley is deceased.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Friday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home. At the conclusion of calling hours until 1:30 p.m. friends are invited to the home of Amanda Shafer, 187 Taggart Road, Darlington, PA for a luncheon. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 13th at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Plegge of Abundant Life Fellowship Church officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
