Franklin D. Newman, 76, formerly of Beaver Falls and Darlington, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013 at his daughter Tammy’s home in New Waterford, OH, where he resided and was lovingly cared for the last several months.
He was retired from Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products, where he worked in the Cold Draw Dept. After retiring he worked for Vance’s Landscaping and the Beaver Valley Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleta M. (DeCost) Newman whom he longed to be with since 2005 and a brother, Junior Newman.
He is survived by a son, Franklin D. Newman Jr., Mercer, PA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and James Daugherty, South Beaver Twp. and Tammy Ann and Donald Walworth, New Waterford, OH; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Rob and Ricki Newman, Ellwood City; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Joanne and Loran Dalton, New Waterford, OH, Teen Croston, Koppel and Trish and Tom Croston, Canton, OH.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. till the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. in the Hill and Kunselman Funeral Home, 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls.
Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver Boro.
