Wanda Kidder

Hanoverton – Wanda L. Kidder, 70, of Mechanicstown Road, passed away at 11:31 a.m. Saturday, August 17th at the Salem Community Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past four days.

Mrs. Kidder was born July 30, 1943 in Salineville, a daughter of the late Earl and Mable Parsons Bragg, and was a life resident of area, and had moved to Hanoverton from Columbiana in 2001.

She had at one time been employed with Sterling China, Wellsville, as a foreman.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald E. Kidder, whom she married September 13, 1960; two daughters, Sandra K. Statler, East Liverpool, and Kathryn S. Lewis, Lisbon; and two sons, Gerald L. Kidder, Chandler, AZ, and Jeffrey L. Kidder, Marshalltown, IA.

She also leaves five sisters, Janilee Richards, Alliance, Edith Randolph and Geneva Safreed, both of Salineville, Linda Bragg, Minerva, and Dianna Barber, Morgantown, WV; four brothers, Earl Bragg, Hundred, WV, Roger Bragg, Murfreesboro, TN, Donald Bragg, Salineville, and John Bragg, Burton, WV; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

A daughter, Darlena Kidder, three sisters, Lucille Roberts, and Barbara and Betty Bragg in infancy, as well as a grandson, preceded Mrs. Kidder in death.

A private memorial service will be held at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home, Lisbon.

The family has asked that material tributes take the form of contributions to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, 4700 Rockside Rd., Suite 405, Independence, OH 44131.
