Salem- Stephen W. Tullis, 58, of East Pershing Street, passed away at 1:50am, Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Vibra Hospital in Boardman following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Tullis was born August 19, 1955 in Salem, Ohio, a son of the late Harvey S. Tullis, Sr and the late Lucille M. (Yarwood) Tullis, and had lived all of his life in the area.
After attending Lisbon David Anderson High School, Steve worked as a mechanic for C&W Mining, Bo-Bo Amusement Rides, and at the Lisbon Aluminum and Brass Foundry.
Steve loved to work on cars and he, also enjoyed watching wrestling and football.
He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Hancock of Alliance, sister, Wanda (Perry) Surmaceviz, Sr. of Lisbon; 4 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, James, and Harvey Tullis, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 8 pm, Tuesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Pastor Ted Barnes officiating. Private burial will take place Wednesday morning at Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.
