Salineville – Martha K. Hanley Kellogg, 75, of State Street, died late Saturday evening at the Nentwick Convalescent Home in East Liverpool, Ohio.
Martha was born October 6, 1937 in Salineville, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Lucille Scarry Hanley.
Martha lived all her live in this area, graduated from Salineville High School and attended Kent State Business College.
Martha was payroll clerk at Buckeye Restoration Company in Glenmoor.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Salineville where she was vice president of the Altar and Rosary Society and taught CCD classes for many years. She then attended St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church in Summitville. She was also a member of the Red Hatters.
Martha is survived by her son, Courtland (Terri) Kellogg of Salineville; one sister, Beverly Hanley of Sandusky, OH; one grandson, Brady Kellogg of Salineville; two nieces, Barbara (Jim) Santini of West Point and Nancy (Tad) Needham of Salineville; and Frank Shagnot who was like her second son.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Lucille Scarry Hanley, her husband Frank E. “Googs” Kellogg who died July 10, 1980, one brother Jack Hanley and one sister Gilda Shaft.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday August 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church in Summitville, Ohio.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Salineville, Ohio.
