COLUMBIANA – Jane L. Eckert, 89, of Columbiana, passed away Friday evening, July 26, at Whispering Pines Village surrounded by her loving family.
Jane was born on Sept. 8, 1923 in Salem, the daughter of Charles and Pauline (Schmid) Davidson, She married Glen Eckert on Oct. 30, 1948. Jane devoted her life to the well-being of her immediate and extended family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbiana.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, two daughters, Barbara (Marty) Stampick of Plain City, Utah, and Virginia (Gary) Neville of Columbiana; a son, Alan Eckert of Columbiana; five grandchildren, Aaron Stampick, Jacob Stampick, Jason (Carrie) Neville, Kendra Neville, and Alex Neville; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley M. Davidson and Marian L. Zeigler, formerly of Salem; five nieces; one nephew; three great nieces; one great nephew; and three great-great nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen who passed away on Sept. 14, 1993, and a brother Charles Davidson.
Private services were held July 30 at the Columbiana Cemetery chapel, with Reverend John Ciardi officiating.
