Columbiana – Betty M. Stanley, 76, of Kirk Road, passed away Sunday morning at the Circle of Care, Salem, where she had been a patient.
Mrs. Stanley was born October 16, 1936 in Beaver Falls, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Rhoda Coy Houp, and resided for most of her life in this area.
She had been employed with Electrical Refractories, East Palestine as a finisher for twenty-three years prior to her retirement.
Her husband, John R. Stanley, whom she married November 5, 1955, preceded her in death on December 24, 1996. Her daughter, Debra Miller also preceded her in death on December 23, 1998.
Betty is survived by four daughters, Diane (Mitchell) Porter, Wellsville, Denise Stanley, Salem, Karla (Angelo) Saldierna, Cerro Gordo, NC, and Kimberly Stanley, Tabor City, NC; a son, John M. Stanley, Maiden, VA; eighteen grandchildren, and twenty-seven great grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Nancy Stanley, Columbiana and Ruth Grizzly, South Bend, IN; and two brothers, Melvin Houp, Arizona, and Robert Houp, East Liverpool
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Don Naylor of Emmanuel Faith Ministries, officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
