David D. Dailey, 79, of East Liverpool, went home to be with the Lord peacefully Monday, July 15, 2013, while surrounded by his family, at the Hospice House.
He was born April 16, 1934 in East Liverpool, Ohio; he was a son of the late Delmar and Gwendolyn Barrett Dailey.
Mr. Dailey was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Crucible and J & L Steel and he last worked for T.P. Tools. He held memberships with the Lacroft Nazarene Church and the National Hot Rod Association and was a former Jaycee.
He was an avid Drag Racer until the time of his illness; he loved to race in “Wild Mountain” his 1948 Ford Anglia.
He leaves behind his wife, Winifred Elliott Dailey of East Liverpool, whom he married Nov 23, 1957;two sons, David(Jill)Dailey Jr.,and Dan Dailey all of East Liverpool; two grandsons, Charles Tarnovich II and Darren Dailey; two sisters, Marjorie Marsh and Clara Chapman both of Florida.
Private arrangements were held by the family. The Nixon Funeral in Newell, W.Va., was in charge.
