BESSEMER, Pa. – Mrs. Virginia Irene Kelly, 80, of Bessemer, Pa., passed away the morning of June 1 2013 at the Jameson Care Center in New Castle, Pa.
She was born on July 16 1932 in New Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clyde and Ethel Gephardt Stewart.
She married Lester Kelly and raised three children.
Virginia graduated from East Palestine High School. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing. Virginia worked as a dishwasher for the Tigers Table restaurant in New Middletown and also at the Bessemer Croation Club.
She was a loving Wife, Mother, grandmother and sister.
Virginia leaves behind her three children, Mrs. Kelly (Kathy) Matlin and her husband Don of Redding Cal. Also William (Bill) Kelly of Bessemer, Pa. and lastly Mrs. Vicki Micco and her husband David, also of Bessemer, Pa.
Virginia’s sibling who survive are Marilyn Kuntz and her husband Tom of New Waterford, Oh. Also, Brothers Glenn Stewart and his wife Maxine and Gordan Stewart and his wife Bonnie, all of East Palestine, Oh.
Virginia leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Coral Silverman of New York, Harmony Silverman of San Diego, Kristi Micco of New Middletown, Gena Micco and Mark Micco, both of Bessemer.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester, and a brother Eugene Stewart.
Visitation for Virginia will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg, Ohio on Monday June 3, 2013 from 6 pm till 8 pm and again on Tuesday June 4, 2013 from 10 am till the 11 am service time. Services are under the direction of Pastor Aimee Reynolds of St John Lutheran.
After the service a procession will follow to the Petersburg cemetery for graveside services.
