East Palestine, Ohio – Roger Morris, 49, of Morris Drive, passed away at 7:38 a.m., Wednesday, June 19th at the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman Campus, after becoming ill at work.
Roger was born October 22, 1963 in Salem, a son of Maxalee Hazelwood Morris and the late Clem M. Morris.
A life resident of the area, he had been employed as the plant supervisor at TubeTech, after returning to work there about eighteen months ago.
He had enjoyed a passion for guns, as well as model airplanes.
In addition to his mother, Maxalee Morris of East Palestine, he is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Craft, whom he married September 26, 1987; and two daughters, Ashley M. and Kristen N. Morris, both at home. Roger also leaves two brothers, Larry (Myra) Morris and Greg (Jeannie) Morris, both of East Palestine; a sister, Linda (Jeff) Flowers, New Waterford; six nieces and nephews; Shawn and Ryan Flowers, Darryl and Scott Morris, David Morris, and Michelle Anderson. He also leaves his best friend, Daniel Sneddon, and his dog, Max.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darryl Morris.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, with Pastor Pamela Price of the East Palestine Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
