Lisbon – Lois I. Madison, 74, of State Route 154, passed away peacefully at 8 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Salem Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Madison was born May 20, 1939 in Signal, Ohio, a daughter of the late Lester and Mabel (Hawkins) Crowl, and had lived most of her life in the area.
A homemaker, Lois was an avid reader, she loved her dogs, and she enjoyed decorating her house.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband, William Leroy “Bill” Madison, whom she married July 10, 1956; son, Michael Leroy Madison of Salem; daughter, Lisa (Jim) Cibula of Lisbon; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lois was also preceded in death by her brother, Paul Crowl and sisters, Helen Hunt, Hazel Russell, and Peggy Best.
Private graveside services were held Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Kemble Cemetery in Elkton.
