Salem – James A. DeJane, Sr., 82, of Salem, died at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center, Columbiana.
Mr. DeJane was born September 17, 1930 in Salem, a son of the late Lynn and Iris Atkinson DeJane.
He was a machinist at E.W. Bliss in Salem and had served in the US Navy.
He was a member of the Joe Williams Post #131 American Legion, the York Drexler Post #5532 VFW and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He is survived by two sons, James A. (Sue) DeJane, Jr. of Washingtonville and Gerry DeJane of Poland; three grandchildren, Zachary DeJane, Dylon DeJane, and Marissa DeJane and two great grandchildren, Peyton and Aubrey DeJane.
Two sisters, Twila Dermotta and Shirley Arntz preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Deacon Larry Pasko officiating. Burial will be in the Washingtonville Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
