East Palestine, OH – Helen Louise Nemeth, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Salem.
Mrs. Nemeth was born in East Palestine, a daughter of the late A. Earl and Florence M. Seidner Mollenkopf. She was a graduate of East Palestine High School and lived in Unity Township all her life.
She was a home maker and a member of the Grace Church in Columbiana. She led two Camp Fire Girl Groups to achieve the Wo-He-Lo medallion and taught Sunday School at Grace Church for over 30 years. She also founded and maintained the children’s library at the church.
Her husband, Joseph Alexander Nemeth, whom she married March 25, 1951, died February 13, 1991.
She is survived by two daughters, Jodi (Roy) McCullough of Salem and Judi Gatti of Strongsville; and three grandchildren, Jeffery Morckel, Kelly Morckel and Alexander Gatti.
A brother, Lawrence R. Mollenkopf and a son-in-law, Joeo Gatti also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2013 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Reverend Donald Booth officiating. Burial will follow at Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday.
