Lisbon – Alice E. Pike, 83, of State Route 172, passed away peacefully at 6:15 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Hospice House of Poland.
Mrs. Pike was born March 1, 1930 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Alvy and Mary (Crawford) McCormick and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Alice worked as the secretary and bookkeeper for the Lisbon Lepper Library for 32 years, retiring in 1990.
She was a member of the Calcutta Long’s Run Presbyterian Church and former member of Lisbon Trinity Presbyterian Church, where she had served as a deacon and youth group advisor.
Alice loved to sew, bake and was an avid Norman Rockwell collector. She also enjoyed hiking with her husband.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband, Dalton E. Pike, Jr., whom she married September 9, 1950; daughter, Robin (Lary) Muntean of Lisbon; sister, Martha (J. Morgan) Cox of Canton; grandchildren, John Muntean of Toronto, Ohio, Chris (Haley) Muntean of Beaumont, TX, Brian (Yini) Muntean of Toledo, Ohio, Julie Muntean of Lisbon and Nicole Wherry of Pittsburgh, PA; and two great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her daughter, Marianne (Pike) Wherry and sister, Maryellen Armstrong.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Cramer officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.
