Ricky Burton

Salineville – Ricky Bruce Burton, 47, of Glasgow Rd., passed away at 6:55 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 in the emergency room at East Liverpool City Hospital from injuries sustained in a tractor accident earlier that afternoon.

Mr. Burton was born March 16, 1966 in Salem, a son of the late Charles “Bruce” Burton and the late Carol Jean (Dotson) Clark, and had lived his entire life in the area.

A graduate of Southern Local High School, Ricky worked as a sheet metal worker with the Sheet Metal Workers Union #33 of Youngstown. He most recently worked at Homer Laughlin China. Ricky also loved to farm.

He was a member of the Salineville Assembly of God Church and the Lisbon VFW Post #4111.

Mr. Burton was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, having served in Japan during peacetime.

He is survived and will be dearly remembered by his wife, Sherri (Lamm) Burton, whom he married June 5, 2010; his step-mother, who raised him, Mary Ann (Belaney) Burton of Salineville; sisters, Tamie (Rick) Milhoan of Lisbon, Denise Burton of East Liverpool, Connie Burton Dattilo of Columbiana, and Melissa (John) Rankin of Lisbon; twin brother, Richie (Greta) Burton of Lisbon, brothers, Brad (Jen) Burton of Summitville, and Joshua (Jill) Burton of New Waterford; nine nieces and four nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Lisbon VFW Post #4111 Hall, 210 East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, with Pastor Rodney Ohler of the Salineville Assembly of God Church officiating. Full military honors will follow provided by the Salem Honor Guard. Private burial will take place at Lisbon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 3 pm Sunday at the VFW Hall.
