COLUMBIANA – Louise Tharp, 84, of Columbiana, passed away Sunday morning at Vibra Hospital.
She was born on June 12, 1928 in Butler, PA, the daughter of Martin and Ruth (Wendell) Murphy, and graduated from Richhill High School in Richhill, PA.
A homemaker, Louise was a devoted member of First Christian Church of Columbiana for over 50 years.
Louise leaves to cherish her memory her husband Samuel, whom she married 63 years ago on July 29, 1949 in Waynesburg, PA; three sons, Gary (Sandra) Tharp of Columbiana, John (Yvonne) Tharp of Calcutta, and Dan Tharp of Lisbon; grandchildren Curtis (Tawny), Shonna, Rebekka (Brendan), Corey, and Eric; and great grandchildren Ronan, Kyla, Joshua, with one on the way. She also leaves a sister, Jean Barnhart of Salem, and many nieces and nephews.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8 at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm Street, in Columbiana, with Mr. John Reed officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7 at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, in Columbiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made in Louise’s name to First Christian Church, 39 Cherry Street, Columbiana, OH 44408.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone at Salem ICU and Vibra Hospital for their excellent care they provided to Louise. Their kindness is much appreciated.
