EAST PALESTINE – Jack W. “Jake” Kibler, 80 of Dripping Springs, TX, formerly of East Palestine, passed away at the home of his daughter on March 22nd of this year.
Jake was born November 3, 1932 in Salem, a son of the late Raymond W. Kibler and Dorothy Kibler Shaw, and had resided in East Palestine for most of his life, until moving to Texas in March of last year. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed with Ohio Edison as a mechanic. he was a U.S. Army veteran, having service in the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Betty Guy, on January 20, 2006. A son, Craig Kibler, and a daughter, Debbie S. Beachler, had also preceded him in death.
Jake is survived by a daughter, Gail Kibler, Cantalini, with whom he resided; two sons, Jack Kibler, Louisberg, NC, and Bob Kibler, Quitman, TX; many grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4th, 2013 at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark McTrustry of the Centenary United Methodist Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
