EAST PALESTINE – Deloris L. McCormick, 81, of West North Avenue, passed away peacefully at 7 a.m. Monday at Caprice Health Care Center, North Lima, where she had resided for the past three years.
Deloris was born July 26, 1931 in Negley, a daughter of the late John and Thelma Tennis Sansenbaugher, and was a life resident of the area. She had at one time been employed with area businesses, including the former Pittsburgh Chair and L.W. Nash Co.
She is survived by her husband, William A. McCormick, whom she married Oct. 7, 1957; three sons, Michael (Renee) McCormick and Daniel McCormick, both of East Palestine, and David (Brenda) McCormick, Golden Valley, Ariz. Deloris also leaves two grandchildren, Gregory (Regan) McCormick and Lindsay (Ben) Ratner, both of East Palestine; and three great-grandchildren, Lilly Ratner, Isabelle Ratner and Colin McCormick; two sisters, Ruth Evans of Negley, and Ginger (Wayne) Kelvington, and a brother, Jack (Dean) Sansenbaugher, both of East Palestine.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Sansenbaugher.
The funeral service will be at 12 noon Wednesday at Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark McTrustry of Centenary United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the time of service.
