VANCLEAVE, MS – Cynthia Ann Wotring, 63, passed away on April 12, 2013 with her loving daughter, Danielle Johnson, at her side.
Born in East Liverpool on October 15, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Robert “Rube” Wotring and Margaret George.
Cynthia was a lifelong resident of East Liverpool, and was a 1967 graduate of East Liverpool High School and a life member of the ELHS Alumni Association. She was a graduate of Kent State University, School of Medical Technology, and worked in the Lab at East Liverpool City Hospital. Later in life, she served as the night auditor at the Best Western Motor Lodge.
A member of Jobs Daughters Bethel #61 chapter, Cynthia loved to sing and was a past member of several choirs throughout the East Liverpool area. She was an avid reader and collector of Egyptian memorabilia and history, and had a vast collection of turtle pins. She was also an avid fan of James Bond and Star Trek.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Also surviving are her son, Adam Johnson of Steubenville; her daughter, Danielle Johnson, of Vancleave, MS; two half-brothers, David George and his wife, Lisa, and their son, Graeme, of Bloomfield, NJ; and Andy Wotring of East Liverpool; step-brother Jeffrey George of Kettering, OH; step-sister Debra Baylor of Spring, TX; and step-father, Robert George, of East Liverpool.
The family will gather at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted by Carol Forsythe following visitation.
Per Cynthia’s request, those wishing to do so, may give any tributes to the charity of choice, but bring a single flower, of choice, for her.
