Alice M. Lemasters Chamberlain, age 92, of Lisbon passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 3:10 p.m. at the Vista Center in Lisbon following a brief illness.
Alice was born July 19, 1920 in McKeesport, PA, the daughter of the late William and Maude (Johnson) Swartz.
Alice was a lifelong resident of Lisbon. She was a member of Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 72 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Kinsey J. Lemasters, whom she married in April of 1950 and died on March 30, 1981; her second husband, Harry Chamberlain, whom she married May 13, 1992 and died on March 12, 1997; four brothers, Russell, Laurie, Edward and Bud Swartz; one sister, Adelaide Cowels and one step granddaughter.
She is survived by her son, Timothy (Hazel) Lemasters of Hanoverton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Regina Lemasters Smith of Waynesburg, Ohio and Jennifer Lemasters (James) Ling of Salem, Ohio; two great-grandsons, Ethan Matthew Smith and Evan Thomas Smith of East Rochester, Ohio; two step-sons, Larry (Oscie) Chamberlain of Fort Collins, Colorado and George (Terry) Chamberlain of Lexington, Kentucky; 11 step grandchildren, 12 step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Alice will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lisbon Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Hunter Camp Rd. / Rt. 45 Lisbon, Ohio, with Local Elder Allen Foster presiding.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
