LISBON – Roberta Lorena Davison, 72, of South Green Street, passed away at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Salem Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Davison was born Sept. 2, 1940 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank Daniel and Rilda Alberta (Francis) Mosti, and had lived most of her life in the Lisbon area.
She was a homemaker and member of New Apostolic Church of Akron, Ohio.
Roberta loved children and she was an avid reader. She also enjoyed the Twilight Saga and she loved to cook.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband, William Henry Davison, whom she married April 2, 1976; children, Betty Davison, Gary Davison, Diane (Vincent) Funk, Veronica (Bill) Zahrndt, Romey Putnam, Robin Beabout, Glenda Collins, Cindy (Chip) Wilson, Paulette (Jeff) Cox, Patty Paulsen, Michelle (Scott) Hall and Kyle Davison. She is also survived by her siblings, Chuck Mosti, Danny Mosti, Howard Mosti, Emmette Mosti, Angie Fogle, Vicky Myler; 36 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Roberta was also preceded in death by her children, Pearl Lou Putnam and Tess Peterson; brother, Frank Mosti; and grandson, Mark A. Davison.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with her son-in-law, Priest Vincent Funk officiating. Private burial will take place in Lisbon Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
The family also requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to New Apostolic Church Youth Group, 4259 Karg Industrial Parkway, Brimfield, Ohio 44240.
