LISBON – Richard M. Nichol, 81, of Trinity Church Road went home to be with the Lord at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Hospice House.
Born Sept. 11, 1931 in East Liverpool, he was a son of the late William Merrel and Laura Marie (Moore) Nichol.
He worked as a welder for Bliss and Fordees for many years.
Dick was a member of Trinity Friends Church, its building committee, and Lisbon Ruritan Club. He enjoyed farming.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy V. (Campbell) Nichol, whom he married Dec. 19, 1959; two children, Tracy (Roger) Jones of Salineville and Brent (Kristy) Nichol of Medina, and a grandson, Ryan Nichol.
He was preceded in death by his son Mark, and three sisters: Jane Nichol, Alice Soltysiak, and Barbara Ann Glass.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Weber Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Jones of the church officiating. Private burial will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Hookstown, Pa. Calling hours are 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
