SALINEVILLE – Lucille (Bragg) Roberts, 72, died at Allegheny General Hospital late Friday night.
She was born June 3, 1940 in Lumberport, WV, a daughter of the late Earl and Mable Parson Bragg.
Lucille lived most of her life in the Salineville area, graduating from Salineville High School in 1958. She worked as a hairdresser and was a member of the John Adams Post 442 Ladies Auxiliary . She loved to sew and garden , where she showed her love of all kinds of flowers. She was well-known for her cooking and baking.
Lucille will be sadly missed by her companion John Kempf of Salineville, three sons, Charles Allen Roberts of Suffolk, VA, John Edward (Kim) Roberts of Wellsville, Earl Franklin Roberts of Wintersville; one daughter, Teresa Marie “Terry Lu” (Bill) Simmons of Carrollton; six sisters, Janilee Richards of Florida, Edith (Rich) Randolph of Salineville, Geneva (Wayne) Safreed of Salineville, Wanda (Gerald) Kidder of Hanoverton, Linda Bragg of Augusta, OH, Diane Barber of WV; four brothers, Earl (Robin) Bragg of WV, Roger (Brenda) Bragg of TN, Donald (Chris) Bragg of Salineville, John (Becky) Bragg of WV; eight grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren..
Besides her parents she was preceded in death on November 22, 2000 by her husband Charles E. Roberts whom she married on July 7, 1958, and infant twin sisters.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00AM at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home, with her granddaughter Brittany Perfetto conducting the service.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
