LISBON – Lonnie E. Kidder, Sr., 70, of St. Rt. 45, Lisbon, died late Friday evening, March 1, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Kidder was born in Kings Creek, WV, on October 29, 1942, son of the late Claude and Evelyn Dailey Kidder.
Lonnie retired after 32 years as a truck driver and member of Teamsters Local #92, last driving for PI & I Trucking.
He was an avid collector of Coca Cola memorabilia and a member of the Glenmoor Fire Department at one time. But his truest love was for his family, especially his children and his grand and great grandkids. At one time he enjoyed coaching his daughter’s softball teams and watching his son play the game of baseball.
Surviving at home is his wife, Connie Elkins Kidder, whom he married November 20, 1962.
Also surviving are four daughters, Susan Ring and her husband Mark, of East Liverpool, Linda Van Dyke and her husband Carter Sr., of Lisbon, Cheryl Morris and her husband Joe, of East Liverpool and Lora Eiler of East Liverpool. His son, Lonnie E. Kidder, Jr. of East Liverpool also survives along with 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
There are two sisters, Vivian Bently and her husband Gilbert, of Apopka, FL, and Joan Messenger and her husband Larry, of Wellsville, and a brother Claude Kidder and his wife Marion, of Vine Grove, KY.
Lonnie’s wishes are for you to know that he loved you all, to have no calling hours or services, and to be remembered as he was.
