WAYCROSS, Ga. – Vivian M. Gorby, 82, of 2397 Dorothy Street, died February 7, 2013 at Mayo Health Center, Waycross, after an extended illness.
Vivian was born May 4, 1930 in Negley, Ohio to Raymond and Gladys Bell. She was raised by Mr. and Mrs. William Hudson of Negley, Ohio.
Vivian married her love of 59 years, Herman H. Gorby, February 7, 1952, which she has rejoined him 61 years later to the day.
She moved to Georgia just 6 months ago with failing health.
She was employed as a supervisor at Kenmar and Ethan Allen in East Palestine, Ohio, where she retired. She was a member of East Fairfield United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Marla (Steve) Howell and a granddaughter, Stevie Howell all of Waycross. Other family member include Hazel Ewing of Salem, Florance Barnhouse of Bethesda, Lawrence (Lois) Gorby of New Waterford, Clifford Gorby of Columbiana, Shirley Westfall of Salem, Sandy Finch of Salem, Sonnie Bell of Florida and Eugene Bell.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herman H. Gorby, sisters and brothers Marie Railey of Rogers, Mary Metze of New Waterford, Betty Huston of Ravenna, Merle R. Bell and William (Bill) Hudson.
