Ruth Quinn

SALEM – Ruth Marie Quinn, 80, of Salem, died at 10:05 p.m. Monday at Salem Community Hospital.

She was born April 25, 1932 in East Rochester, Ohio the daughter of the late Ross W. and Erla I. (Wickersham) Sanor.

Ruth worked for 20 years as a finisher for the TRW Metals (now known as PCC) in Minerva.

She attended Zion Hill Church of the Brethren in Columbiana. Mrs. Quinn was a member of the Salem TOPS Club #1598, Salem V.F.W. Post 892 Auxiliary and Salem Eagles Auxiliary. She was a yarn enthusiast and crocheted afghans for many individuals in the area and donated many to veterans.

Her husband, Frank D. Quinn, whom she married April 21, 1949, preceded her in death on April 11, 1993.

Survivors include 4 sons, Thomas (Mary Ellen) Quinn of Lisbon, Ohio, Leonard (Annette) Quinn of Lagrange, Ohio, Donald (Yolanda) Quinn of Great Falls, Virginia and Frank (Patty) Quinn Jr. of Fairview Park, Ohio; 3 daughters, Linda (Paul) Hardin of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, Mary (Jay) Clark of Salem, Ohio and Sue (Ron) Runion of Canfield, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Two brothers, Russell and Ray Sanor and a grandson, Kenneth also preceded her in death.

Services will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor David Wyant officiating. Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
