Ruth Culp

Ruth Irene Culp, a lifelong resident of Wellsville entered into eternal peace February 14, 2013 at home, surrounded by her family. She was 94.

Born September 10, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Deeley) Glover. She was a 1937 graduate of Wellsville High School and worked for 25 years at Sterling China Company, retiring in 1981. She was a member and raised in the Church of Ascension in Wellsville and was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in East Liverpool.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished to her son, Jack C. Culp and his wife, Carol of Newton Falls, OH; daughters, Carol Morrell and her husband, Frank of Lisbon, OH and Jane Kozora at home; a daughter-in-law, Leah Culp of Pinellas Park, FL, son-in-law, Jack Kozora of Weirton, WV and Rodger Miller and his wife Diane of Wellsville, whom she considered her son and daughter; a sister, Edith Taggart of Valdosta, GA; her adoring grandchildren, Cathy Culp, Tammy Culp Sharpe and her husband, Bill, Lori Culp Krider and her husband, Steve, Traci Morrell Brown and her husband, Matt, Frank Morrell and his wife, Jennifer, Jennifer Kozora Walsh, Jacqueline Kozora Schoeffel and her husband, Todd and Joseph Kozora and his wife, Katie, who all held a special place in her heart. The joy of her life was spending time with her great-grandchildren, Alex, Dennis and Lillie Walsh, Levi, Ethan and Madison Brown, Noah and Meadow Sharpe, Taylor Schoffel and Courtney and Frankie Morrell.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, William F. “Bill” Culp in 2003, her special daughter, Linda in 1970, her beloved son, William in 2001 and three brothers, Charles Glover, Robert Glover and Jack Glover.

She spent many years traveling with her husband and enjoyed winters in Florida where they were very active and she was the Historian at Craigs Park, Arcadia, Florida.

She was a member of the Wellsville Alumni Association, Friends of Ascension, Freeway Ramblers and Buckeye Rovers Retirees. She was affiliated with the Vestry, Altar Guild, Episcopal Church Woman and was a Sunday School Teacher at the Church of Ascension.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mary Vidmar of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 1:00 to 7:00 PM
