WASHINGTONVILLE, Ohio – Pauline V. Brown, 93, of West Main Street, passed away at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Parkside Health Care Center where she had been a patient.
Pauline was born Nov. 7, 1919 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Garfield and Evelyn Engler Joseph, and had resided in Washingtonville since 1973, coming from Columbiana.
Her husband, William T. Brown, whom she married on Jan. 11, 1941, preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1984, as had a son, Thomas W. Brown on April 27, 1976. Four brothers, Carroll, Earl, Frank, and Roy Joseph, as well as four sisters, Hazel Meehan, Dorothy Brown, Margaret Petry, and Mary Flugan, had also preceded her.
Pauline is survived by two sons, Ronald L. Brown, Columbiana, and Larry A. (Deborah) Brown, East Palestine. She also leaves three brothers, David and Glen Joseph of Lisbon, and Ross Joseph of Salem, and a sister, Beverly Halverstadt, Salem, Oregon.
At Pauline’s request, private services have been observed. Burial was in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford. Arrangements were with Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine.
