MELBOURNE, Fla. – Mary Lou Weddell, age 82, formerly of Kensington, passed away at her residence in Melbourne, Fla.
She was born June 1, 1930 in East Township to Samuel Henry and Ola Mae (Phillips) Knecht.
She was a lifetime resident of Kensington. Mary Lou was secretary to the R.J. Roberts Company of Salem, Ohio and a former employee of Hillyer’s IGA in Lisbon.
She attended New Lisbon Presbyterian Church and attended First Baptist Church of South Brevard. Mary Lou belonged to Sandy Beaver Canal Association. She was a member of Red Hat Society and GFWC Viera Woman’s Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann Magrini of Melbourne, Fla.; a step-daughter, Kristi Magrini of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two great-granddaughters, Sophia and Noelani Magrini; and a brother, Elmer (Ruth) Knecht of Lisbon.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles “Bub” Weddell, who she married Dec. 9, 1951, and who died Nov. 6, 2000.
Calling hours for Mary Lou will be Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at Maple Cotton Funeral Home. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Maple Cotton Funeral Home in Kensington.
