LISBON – Lois A. Humphrey, 78 of Lisbon, Ohio died peacefully at home with her entire family at her side on Monday, February 18, 2013 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Calcutta, Ohio on May 18, 1934 and was a daughter of the late Neil and Ann (Hoppel) McCall. At age 16 she went to live with her uncle and aunt, Everett and Lee Hoppel along with her favorite cousins, Herman, Darryl, Jim David and Carl.
Living her entire life in this area, she was a cook at various local restaurants and nursing homes. She was a member of the Beaver Street Church of Christ in Lisbon, OH.
Her husband, William J. Humphrey, whom she married on June 6, 1959, survives her at home.
Also surviving her are her children: Timothy W. Humphrey, Kimberly A. Sprouse and her husband Randy and Lynn M. Humphrey all of Lisbon, OH; three grandchildren: Michael J. Sprouse and his wife, Jaime and Heather M. Mason, and her husband Aaron, both of Lisbon, OH and Sarah M. Humphrey of Salem, OH; two great grandchildren, Hannah M. Sprouse and Cooper A. Mason and a half brother
Besides her parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Aaron Burch and Herman McHan of the church officiating.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 2 4 and 6 8 PM
