EAST LIVERPOOL – Local resident Geraldine “Jerry” Cermak, of Fredericktown-Clarkson Road, Negley, passed away after a lengthy illness at the East Liverpool City Hospital on Sunday morning, February 17, 2013. She was 69.
Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on October 11, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Josephine McGaugh Morris. She was a graduate of Fort Smith High School.
At one time, she had been associated with J & L Steel, and also had worked at Nentwick Convalescent Center and the former Ross Nursing Home.
Preceding her in death in 1999 was her husband, Paul Cermak, Jr. Jerry was also preceded in death by a son, Gregory Alan Cermak, who passed away on July 5, 2011, and by a sister, Shirley Morris.
A daughter, Darlene McKinney of Tampa, FL, survives as well as a son, Kevin Cermak and his wife, Gerri, of Negley. There are four grandchildren, along with a sister, June Dodd and her husband, Raymond, of Van Buren, Arkansas.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, where the family will be present for one hour prior to the service. Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester, PA.
