Alvin Wright

EAST LIVERPOOL – Alvin Edward “Eddie” Wright, Jr., of Grimms Bridge Road, died Friday, February 8, 2013, at home following a lengthy illness. He was 41.

A son of Alvin Edward “Ed” Wright, Sr. and Roberta Boyd Wright, he was born April 30, 1971 in East Liverpool. A Beaver Local High School graduate, he worked at Ergon Trucking as a driver for 15 years.

A member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Rogers, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, outdoor flea markets and going to Amish Country.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Michelle Wright of Calcutta, and two brothers, Tim Wright and Gregg Wright, and his wife Nora, of Elwood City, Pennsylvania, as well as a special friend Gretchen Potts.

He will also be remembered by his five nieces: Kierstyn Talbert-Bates, Emily Duffy, Keelie Wright, Katelyn Wright, and Gabrielle Michelle Wright, a nephew, Greggory Wright, Jr., along with a great-nephew, Brody Lee Bates.

Other survivors include his aunts and uncles: Zeb and Patty Boyd, Doris Salsberry and Martha Stacy, as well as many cousins. He will also be sadly missed by his many friends and fellow Ergon employees.

Friends may visit Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Ron Boyd will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Longs Run Cemetery.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
