SALINEVILLE – Clyde Emery Owens, 78, of Lincoln Street passed away early Monday morning at his home.
He was born July 3, 1934, in Salineville, a son of the late James and Laura McLain Owens.
Clyde lived all his life in the Salineville area. He was a member of Salineville United Methodist Church. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed hunting and loved spending time with his family.
Clyde will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Vivian Harker Owens; two daughters, Robin (Henry) Echols of Wellsville, Tamara Owens of Salineville; three sons, James (Barb) Owens of Salineville, Roy (Susan) Owens of Salem, Ernest (Sherry) Owens of Salineville; three sisters, Mary Fern (Robert) Cunningham of Lisbon, Regina (Howard) Buxton of Salem, Deena (James) Seevers of Lisbon; two brothers, Harold (Maryann) Owens of Salineville, Anthony (Terry) Owens of Wellsville; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Clyde was preceded in death by one grandaughter and a great-great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 5 p.m. at Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home in Salineville, Ohio, with the Rev. Pat Smith of Salineville United Methodist Church officiating.
Family and friends may visit the funeral home from 2 p.m. until time of service.
